 The Lewisburg Downtown Partnership brings together diverse community interests and resources to promote the economic vitality, architectural heritage, and cultural vibrancy of the downtown commercial district for the benefit of the greater Lewisburg area.
A VISION FOR DOWNTOWN LEWISBURG
In 2010, Downtown Lewisburg will be a signature locale for the "Pennsylvania's Heartland" region — a quintessential small American town that is clean, safe, personable, pedestrian-friendly, and historically interesting, with appealing and significant architecture. It will also have certain cosmopolitan accents in its dining and retail offerings that continue to attract new residents and engage visitors. These qualities will be complemented by the cultural and intellectual offerings of Bucknell University, the high quality of health care delivered in the area, and the visibility of national institutions located here. Increasing use will be made of the river to enrich life in Lewisburg.
The central business district will be healthy and diverse, blending services, entertainment and basic, specialty and upscale retail offerings for the residents and workers of the region, as well as for Bucknell students and visitors. Some of the nation's most attractive residential streets will continue to be found in Lewisburg, and all residential neighborhoods will be well maintained. A variety of housing options will serve a diverse population, including many ages. A shared appreciation of Lewisburg’s heritage, and cooperation among public and private entities and individuals, will have kept Lewisburg strong.
The Lewisburg Downtown Partnership catalyzes the economic and cultural development of the Lewisburg downtown district by integrating community and shareholder interests and diverse resources.
