Music in the Park
June 15, 2016 @ 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until August 24, 2016
The 20th season of the summer concert series Music in the Park begins on June 8th this year and will run through August 24th. The concerts will begin at 7:00 pm in Hufnagle Park, downtown Lewisburg, are free to the public, and are sponsored by the Lewisburg Arts Council. The 2016 season promises to be another terrific series. There are familiar favorites, including the Zeropoint Big Band, the Penn Central Wind Band, and the Lewisburg Area High School Marching Band. The Lewisburg Arts Council gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts to support this year’s Music in the Park. The Woodcock Foundation’s mission statement:
So long as there are little children to be introduced to the creative arts and harried adults who missed exposure to great art and literature and timeless music to be shared across all age group, there will be a need for efforts to encourage the appreciation of the arts.
Thank you to the Borough of Lewisburg for its ongoing support of Music in the Park.
You can be a part of supporting the music that you hear—both now and for the future!
