November 2, 2018
6:00 pm - 11:59 pm
Both the visual and the performing arts take center stage in historic downtown Lewisburg the first Friday in November as the Lewisburg Arts Council sponsors the 19th Annual Stroll Through the Arts on Friday, November 2, from 6 pm to midnight. Live visual art is in evidence when over 30 artists display their works in shops, studios, and galleries all along five blocks of downtown Market St. that evening. The artists range from painters to potters to jewelers to photographers, and are all from the central Susquehanna Valley region.
This year’s Stroll Through the Arts will again feature our passport program. Anyone who visits and has checked off the required number of businesses in certain blocks of downtown is eligible to enter a drawing for Downtown Gift Certificates. Passports are available at any one of the participating businesses (look for the luminaria!) or the Arts Underground at 310 Market St., the location of the Lewisburg Arts Council’s new office space. The drawing will happen at 9 pm at the Arts Underground.
Live Music this year will be performed throughout the evening, from 6 to 11 pm! Dance to the Music features four great bands for free:
Brian Crane and Fred Krug, at All-Star Bagels, 300 Market St., from 6-8 pm
Ramblin’ Dan Stevens, at Tastecraft Market, 323 Market St., from 7-9 pm
Lipsmackin’ Blues Band, at the Bull Run Tap House, 605 Market St., from 8-10 pm
Runaway Stroller, at the Towne Tavern, 600 Market St., from 9-11 pm
All four performances are free and open to the public.
