The Market Street Corridor Study

All of the data has now been collected for this project.  There was some delay in receiving approval to perform core boring samples of the pavement along Market Street, however, as of earlier this month – that is now complete.  The consulting engineers, Traffic Planning and Design (TPD) is working with the Borough and members of the Steering Committee to prepare the final report for this project.  Components of the Study include: The History of Market Street and its regional economic context, an analysis of the Existing Roadway Network and Impact of other Regional Transportation Projects, Existing Traffic Conditions, Crash Analysis and Traffic Signal Phasing Analysis, Community Input, Projected Future Traffic Conditions, and then the Recommendations and Conclusions.  This report is expected to wrap up in September sometime and then be distributed to members of the Borough Council and Steering Committee for review.  The public meeting of the results and findings of this Study is expected to take place in October.  Please stay tuned for more information!
